Bloglines

I have to give a shout out to Bloglines. My friend, Megan, told me about this blog manager a while ago and it saves so much time!!! I like to read blogs, but typing in each individual blog address was annoying and I couldn't remember them all. Plus, I would check someone's blog and they wouldn't have updated so it was time consuming. But thanks to bloglines it manages them all for me and tells me when someone has updated and how many new posts they have. Trust me, if you don't have a bloglines account you need to get one. It will save you SO much time! Several of my family members have set one up and they love it. Just my two bits. :)

(P.S.- it is free and easy to set up!)

Thanks for the tip - it does get time-consuming trying to check everyone's updates... especially when you have a horrendously SLOW computer. :(

Hope you guys have had a fabulous summer!

That's cool - I had never heard of that before.

FYI, if you have a google account, there is a site reader built in. It's called - can you believe it - Reader. :)

If you log in to gmail, look at the top of your page.
Click the link that says "Reader".
(Or you can right-click the link and select "Open in New Tab" if you're like me and don't want a new window to pop up.)
Once the Reader pages opens look to the left-hand side of the screen, about 1/3 of the way day. On the left of the page will be an "+ Add Subscription" button.
Click the button, and type or paste in the website or blog address.
Click Add.
Now you're subscribed to that website!
Just below the Add Subscription button is a link that says "Show: updated - all." Click whichever one you want. If you want to see all the blogs/websites you're subscribed to, click "all." If you just want to see the ones with updates, click "updated."
now any time you log into gmail, you can just click the Reader button and see all the blogs you're subscribed to.
It's awesome!

maybe you didn't care for all that info, but I thought you might like it if you're a gmail person, because then you don't have to log in anywhere else. :)
