Last weekend, two of my sisters and my Mom and Dad went to a Josh Turner and Carrie Underwood concert in Yakima. It was a lot of fun! I met my oldest sister in North Bend and we drove over together so I was kid free for a bit. :) We met up with my parents, sister and grandparents at a yummy hamburger place called Miners (LOVE it). Then, off to the concert. It's because of my Dad that we went to this concert. He likes Carrie Underwood and has liked her ever since she was on American Idol. This is huge because my Dad always made fun of our "country western" music we listened to while working on the farm. So for him to like Carrie and her country music is funny and a little ironic. But he read in the paper that Carrie was coming to Yakima and so we bought tickets. After the concert, my sister and I stayed in Yakima with my grandparents and then headed back home the next morning. Kyle did great with the kids and I was very thankful to him for letting me go on a fun outing with some of my sisters and parents.

When I first read this I totally forgot about the concert. I was thinking, I've never heard them talk about friends named Carrie and Josh. I wonder what they did, ha ha! I'm glad you guys had fun. I have liked her since Idol too, it would have been great to see her. So glad you had a night away, you deserve it!! (And good job Kyle, Elder Ballard would be proud :) )
We really liked Carrie Underwood on AI, too. That is so funny that your parents, especially your Dad, liked her as well :) !!

Such a fun night! I was thinking the same thing Shar was about your little sister. She has really grown up, but then again, how long has it been?? That is so funny it was your dad's idea.
