More Please?

When I was in Mr. Weberling's 5th Grade class some friends and I asked him for MORE homework! What were we thinking? We actually thought homework was fun and finished the assigned stuff really fast so we wanted more to do. Nerds! haha! Then as we got into High School we laughed about how we asked for MORE homework because we wished we had LESS homework then. My favorite subject in 5th grade was spelling. Loved it. I remember doing the extra lessons at the end of the book. I also participated in spelling bees and did really well. I remember one time I got out because I didn't know how to spell the word 'ego'. I had never heard of the word! I thought they kept saying 'eagle' so that's what I spelled. I was sad to find out later what 'ego' was and how easy it was to spell.

Kate went to the Seattle Aquarium for a class field trip. They had to choose a sea animal to do a research project on after going. She chose a sea otter. They could make a project at home for "extra" homework if they wanted to and then present it in class. And of course, Kate wanted to do the extra homework assignment. But who are we kidding, I would have too if I was her! But now I didn't want her to do it. :) But we did. It was kind of fun. We used modeling clay to make different sea creatures that the sea otter eats. The sea otter is swimming upside down (hanging from fishing line) and obviously I did most of it, but Kate helped with some of the smaller animals. She was excited to take it to school.

She wanted to do a silly face with it. And it's amazing how she can cross one eye and keep the other one straight. Talent.

Lindsey is 21 months going on 6. She likes to undress and get dress up on or take her diaper off or put on other people's shoes. She's funny. Except on Sunday morning, when I went in to get her out of her crib and found poop everywhere! Ewww! She had taken off her diaper in the night and then had pooped and it was smeared on her feet, hands, legs, arms, chin, crib railings and crib bedding. What a mess. It wasn't as bad as Kate though...Kate ate her poop when she was a baby when she took her diaper off in her crib. So it could always be worse. ;)

Good job Kate (and mommy) on the aquarium diorama! You did a great job. Very creative to have it floating in the air... And Lindsey Loo Hoo you just make me laugh! I love your outfit :).

Next time go look at the other dioramas first, to overachieve you don't have to do quite that much work, hahaha.

I was planning on stealing Lindsey until the poop story. She's yours!! ;)

I only wanted more homework wheni was playing school. I was never too fond of the real stuff.
