8 adults, 5 kids and 1 trailer loaded with motorcylces and a 4-wheeler headed out this last weekend to Rexburg, Idaho to visit my brother, Jeff, who is attending BYU-Idaho. It was quite the undertaking, but ended up being a lot of fun. We are all still alive and no one got hurt. :)
We made our arrival on Friday night and went to eat at Fong's (most of us were dreaming of eating here for a while because of yummy memories). Well, let's just say the service wasn't anything special and the food wasn't like how we had remembered. A little dissapointing. Once the kids were sound asleep at the hotel the adults (minus my Mom who stayed with the kids) went bowling. It was cosmic bowling and we had a great time.
Saturday morning, we headed out to the sand dunes and my parents rented another 4-wheeler so we were set. It was fabulously fun. :) Sara was my sidekick and we cruised up and down and all around the dunes. It was scary, but fun. We almost died a few times because the sand dunes are like illusions and you don't know when you'll get to the top of the dune and it will drop off like a cliff or you'll be able to keep riding. I included lots of pictures below... After the dunes, we went back to the hotel for some swimming and then got ready. We went to dinner at Craigo's (which was really good pizza, pasta and salad) and after dinner us girls went out for some serious shopping at Walmart (HA!).
That is me at the bottom of the hill. Sara hiked to the top of this sand dune and took pictures.

That is me on the 4-wheeler climbing the sand dune. It was fun!
Me and Sara. It was really windy towards the end of the day and especially up on top of the higher sand dunes.
Kyle on his awesome motorcycle
Us girls- Aubree, Sara, me and Jeni
Carter, Aubree and Kate swimming (we didn't bring swimsuits because we didn't know there was a swimming area so nothing is better than white panties, right?! By the end she was freezing.)
Making lunch at our make-shift camp.
Kevin, Jeni and Paige
Preston hanging out in his car seat. He bonded with his car seat on this trip- not really.
Jeff having fun on his motorcycle.
The family (minus Marci who couldn't make the trip- sniff, sniff- we missed you!) in front of the Rexburg Temple. The picture was taken with the camera on the timer and we thought it turned out pretty good.
The kiddos in front of the Temple. We walked around the temple grounds on Sunday before Church. Kate loves looking at temples (probably because they look like castles) so she was loving it. Sunday, we attended Jeff's church and met more of his friends. Then we made dinner at his apartment and hung out. My Mom ended up getting sick Sunday morning so she was in bed until 4 pm when she started feeling better. We all felt bad for her and we were glad she didn't stay sick for very long. Yuck. We met Jeff's girlfriend, Sadie, and went to a park to let the kids play. My friend Meegan and her son came with us the park and it was fun to visit with her and see her again- it had been 3 years. We made breakfast for dinner and then we all went back to the hotel to put the kids down for bed and us adults stayed up talking.
Monday, we left early to head back to Washington. I went to school here when it was Ricks College (before they turned it into a 4-year school and renamed it BYU-Idaho) so it was fun to see what has changed and visit old places. It was a great trip and lots of memories were made. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

I loved seeing the Sabin clan again! That night Keaton said he was going to miss the Sabins. I laughed and told him I knew the feeling! I definitely miss you all, after spending time with you!

thanks for making the effort to see us!
Looks like a fun time! Now you will just need to do it one more time this summer so Marci can go!!! Maybe the Sabins could plan a fun time for the Lublins, cause we just don't seem to get much planned on our own. I see a new business for Vicki, now that she will more time on her hands!!! (tee, hee)
Fun post! I'm so jealous of the Crago's action! I had a roommate that worked there many moons ago and we would eat it almost every day. Oh the memories!
The sand dunes there are gorgeous. Love the photos.
Cute group photo. I think the timer worked great too. Details of the girl on the right....
What a good lookin' bunch!
Looks like a blast!!! See you this weekend! ;)
your family photo is so cute. I love the kids standing at all different places on the steps.
so is the couple on the right Jeff and his girlfriend? Remind me all your siblings names. I'm being so forgetful!
Bummer the food wasn’t like you remembered. Those pictures at the temple are fabulous!
