It's official!!! Jeff is engaged to Sadie Vandersloot from Idaho Falls!!! It actually happened a month ago, but it's still new. :) We are excited and are looking forward to going to the wedding in the Idaho Falls Temple in December.

After my Mom's quick trip to Utah she decided to stay the night (instead of driving home late Friday night) and hang out with us on Saturday. It was fun and I'm glad she did. In the morning, Kyle and my Mom went with the kiddos to the Children's Museum (I had a primary program practice and pizza party that morning- FYI- our program went well on Sunday and I'm glad it's done!) and I think she probably had more fun than the kids- not really, but she liked it. It is a cute place, but our membership ran out and I'm not sure if I want to renew it so I wanted Kyle to take the kids one last time.

The other day, Kate was eating candy out of this goody bag from a birthday party and said, "say whatever, Daddy." I was wondering why she wanted him to "say whatever" and quickly realized she was asking him if she could eat another piece of candy and then was telling him to say "whatever" meaning she could eat it!!! It was so funny. Normally, you tell your parents, "say yes!" but we must say "whatever" a lot around here because that is what she was saying. She did eat a lot of the candy, but when we didn't say "whatever" tears started streaming down her face and she was so not happy. It's tough being a kid. :)

That picture is hilarious! The things our kids do, and the crazy times we actually catch it on camera, or even try to. Ha! What a smart girl Kate is. She's learning early the ins and outs of getting what she wants.

Okay, now that that is out of my system and the mommy in me took back over...OY! What a girl you have on your hands! Don't you secretly love those moments when your child does something so spontaneously cute and hilarious all you can do is crack up out loud when you know that you should not?? :) this is just one such moment. How fun (and stressful) to have a wedding in the family. I bet Kyle can't wait to have his pictures taken, ha ha. Speaking of pictures....getting that done for you today!
Kate's 'pose' is hilarious. I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go even when someone's trying to take your photo. All I know is your 'whatever' girl is dang smart! And she cracks me up, love her sweet self.

So funny about "whatever." Sounds just like something Elliot would do to get away with eating more candy. She would live on sugar if we'd let her. Unfortunately she eats way too much as it is. And, yes, I am a dental hygienist :)
