My sister-in-law, Melanie, does "Five for Friday's" on her blog and I'm not sure where she got that idea, but I liked it so I decided to do a version of that. :)
1. I love that Costco now has 1% milk, but hate their milk jugs. Bad, bad, bad design. It is way to hard to pour- they need to work on that- but I like their price.
2. I love that Kyle sweeps and mops the floor now that he is Mr. Mom and I laugh when he gets SO concerned when someone spills on his newly mopped floor! It is quite hilarious how concerned he gets. I like that he is more aware of things since he's been cleaning the house. He says "it is hard to keep up with the house". Good experience for him, right?
3. I love that we woke up last Friday and decided to go to my parent's house for the weekend just because. It was a good break. I helped the guys burn tumble weeds and helped my Mom in the garden pruning grapes and raking leaves. I hardly got ready which was nice and Kate and Preston loved playing outside. We also saw Matt & Courtney's new baby (adorable) and Melanie and Milo brought the kidlets down to my parents. It was fun.
4. I love that I got some antibiotics so maybe I can start feeling 100% better. No more sinus congestion, plugged ears, coughing, swollen lymph nodes or sore throat. I've had a combination of these for the last 3 weeks while working. I thought I was getting better then I would get another symptom. Enough already.
5. I love that I have birthday money to go spend. I haven't been shopping much since I've been working (and you can tell a difference with our bank account since Kyle never goes shopping!) so i'm excited to go buy some fun stuff for me.

Sounds like a good Friday to me. You will have to do one next week at my house after flying with both kids! Ha
Great post Heidi! I'm not at all jealous that you've seen my niece and I haven't...not jealous at all. Have fun shopping!
Our Costco has always had 1% milk- wierd! It is in a normal milk jug like you get at the grocery store. Maybe Your Costco should get with the times :) Hope you get feeling better- oh and I am not jealous either about the baby...grrr...
I stole this idea off of another blog and I'm glad you did too. I LOVE this post! (and think my mom has a funny idea for next week but I doubt it will be called the 'loves' addition)
We had such a good time for those few hours on Sunday. It was what we needed to, the kids had a blast. In fact, if I think about it, after dinner, Nathan was the only older kid I saw until it was time to leave. Nice (is that bad?).
You deserve some shopping time. Have fun spending your birthday change. I need new spring stuff bad. You'll have to fill me in on any good deals or cute styles.
Is Heather hating on your Costco? :)
Enjoy your weekend!!
Hey...nobody was supposed to hold that baby until I get there! Courtney is in BIG trouble! My hubby has been sick with the same stuff you have, it sounds like. YUK!! I hope you get feeling better soon. It is soo great when husbands spend a little time at home and realize how hard it is to keep everything clean. Keep at it Kyle!
I'm with you on the milk from Costco. I once bought something on ebay and they packed it in a 1% Costco milk box and didn't get it why we didn't have 1% too. So finally we have it but they changed the containers.
What a fun idea-Bryce and I also are very excited to have Costco selling 1% milk! In the past we would complain about it pretty much every time we went. And I wish somehow Bryce could learn the lessons Kyle is now!!:)
Kudos to Kyle for being Mr. Mom. I don't think our house would be in such a great state nor would be sanity as I would be trying to do work and housework. So good for you both.
Fun five!! I also love when my hubby helps around the house...and antibiotics...and going to Mattawa...we are sooo excited to come maybe you will randomly decide to come to Mattawa while we are there!:) love ya!
I love that Kyle is getting a sense of keeping up on the house. Ever man needs that experience for sure. It almost never fails that something is spilt on the just mopped floor.
Have fun shopping. Every girl needs that once in a while. It just makes us happy!
OOh, good to know about the 1% milk! I'm convinced they can sell it so cheap because of the new design though - it's skinnier so they can probably fit more on a truck! :)
